Job description for Baker (Central Kitchen) at The Bakery Depot Pte Ltd
We are looking for a Baker to support at our Central Kitchen to prepare different types of bread and ensuring fresh and delicious loaves of bread are delivered to our customers on a daily basis.
- Weigh the flour and other ingredients to prepare the dough
- Bake different types of bread such as baguettes and multigrain bread according to Company’s SOP and standards.
- Adjust oven temperatures to ensure proper baking standards
- Mix and shape the dough and prepare fillings for the preparation of different types of bread.
- Monitor stocks for baking ingredients such as flour, sugar, etc.
- Adhere to all standards of food presentation, production, and portioning controls
- Answer, report, and follow the Baker chef’s instructions.
- Minimize the wastage and spoilage of ingredients and other food items
- Manage and maintain a set of standard quality, service, product, and cleanliness.
Requirement
- Diploma or Nitec/Professional certificate in Baking and Pastry Arts, or similar studies preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Baker, or similar.
- Familiarity with all kitchen equipment, including mixers, blenders, and dough sheeters.
- Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of food safety practices.
- Rotating shift including night shift.
- Able to work on Saturday, Sunday, and Public Holiday.
