About the Role
Huang He Consultancy is delivering a high-level government delegation's visit to Jakarta and Cikarang, Indonesia (19–20 October 2026).
We are seeking an elite, high-caliber professional interpreter to provide critical, real-time live interpretation for an upcoming series of high-level business delegation meetings in Jakarta.
This event involves bilateral discussions between high-ranking government officials and delegates from the Middle East and top-tier Indonesian officials. Given the diplomatic nature of these meetings, the role demands flawless accuracy, a deep understanding of corporate and governmental protocols, and the ability to interpret under high-pressure, fast-paced conditions where seconds matter.
Responsibilities
● Provide English ↔ Bahasa Indonesia consecutive interpretation across all official government meetings, working lunches, and site visits on 19–20 October
● Attend an optional pre-briefing on 18 October to align on delegation background, terminology (customs, trade facilitation, logistics), and protocol expectations
● Maintain accuracy and neutrality in a formal, senior-government setting
● Be available for the full two working days (no partial-day substitutions)
Requirements
● Professional-level fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and English
● Prior experience with consecutive interpretation in government, diplomatic, or corporate-delegation settings strongly preferred
● Minimum five years of experience in the relevant field
● Comfortable with technical/trade-policy vocabulary (customs, AEO frameworks, logistics, free-trade-zone terminology) — a short glossary will be provided in advance
● Professional, discreet, punctual — this is a confidential, senior-delegation engagement
Compensation
● Day rate: proposed SGD 350/day for the two working days (19–20 October)
● Optional pre-briefing on 18 October compensated at a pro-rated half-day rate
● Hotel accommodation provided for the on-ground days
● NDA required before onboarding
