Job Description
The B2B Sales Specialist – Food Ingredients will drive business expansion and strengthen client acquisition across the food and beverage manufacturing sector. In this role, you will manage the full B2B sales lifecycle—from market mapping and commercial pitches to pricing negotiations and account maintenance. You will consult with manufacturers on specialty raw materials (such as emulsifiers, sweeteners, and functional ingredients) to help them enhance product formulations and optimize production.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify new market opportunities, map target accounts, and acquire enterprise B2B clients across the food manufacturing industry.
- Build and sustain strategic, long-term commercial relationships with research and development (R&D), procurement, and plant management teams.
- Deliver technical product presentations, prepare commercial quotations, and lead contract negotiations to deal closure.
- Provide consultative advice on ingredient functionality and technical food formulation (added value).
- Maintain structured pipeline data, track sales activity, and submit regular updates using CRM software and digital workspace tools.
Qualifications
- Proven track record in B2B sales (prior experience in the food ingredients, chemical, or food manufacturing sectors preferred).
- Tech-savvy: proficient with digital productivity platforms, spreadsheets, and modern CRM/reporting systems.
- Valid driver’s license (SIM A/C) and personal vehicle for client visits and fieldwork.
- Excellent interpersonal, commercial negotiation, and presentation skills with a strong target-driven attitude.
- Foundational knowledge of food formulation, ingredient functionality, or food technology is a significant plus.
