Key Responsibilities
Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional and technical specifications.
Design and optimize AS400 (IBM iSeries) system solutions based on business and technical needs.
Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, QA teams, and stakeholders to ensure successful solution delivery.
Perform impact analysis for new requirements, enhancements, and system changes.
Support system integration activities and ensure seamless connectivity between internal and external applications.
Prepare functional specifications, technical documentation, process flows, and other project deliverables.
Work closely with development teams during implementation, SIT, UAT, deployment, and production support.
Identify system improvement opportunities and recommend scalable, secure, and efficient solutions.
Ensure system designs comply with security, performance, and development standards.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience as an AS400 System Analyst.
Strong understanding of AS400 (IBM iSeries) architecture, development lifecycle, and system operations.
Hands-on experience with RPG (RPG III, RPG IV, RPGLE, or Free RPG) is highly preferred.
Experience with DB2/400, SQL, and database design concepts.
Proven experience in system integration, interface design, and API integration (REST/SOAP).
Experience preparing business requirements, functional specifications, and technical documentation.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Good command of written and spoken English.
Experience in the banking, financial services, or payment industry is highly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with microservices architecture and enterprise integration concepts.
Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
Knowledge of SDLC, change management, and production support processes.
Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong documentation and presentation skills.
