Job description for APAC Finance/Business Controller at French Chamber Of Commerce In Singapore
On behalf of one of its clients, the French Chamber of Commerce in Singapore is looking for a
APAC Finance/Business Controller
starting from July for a temporary contract (minimum 5 months)
Our client, an independent industrial group, is a rapidly expanding international company committed to sustainable development and energy transition.
Based out of the Asia Pacific regional office in Singapore, you will ensure the accurate and timely reporting and analysis of the business activities.
The Asia Pacific Zone has its main office in Singapore and manages 3 business regions: Greater China (including 2 factories), India (including 1 factory) and South-East Asia-Pacific. The APAC Business Controller would:
- report directly to the CFO Asia Pacific (based in Singapore)
- collaborate closely with the 3 regional Finance Controllers and their teams.
- be in regular contact with the French HQ financial teams.
The position is based in Singapore, and includes occasional travelling to China, India and South-East Asian countries.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure the production of all APAC financial reports (for both Industry and Commercial activities). Coordinate, animate and ensure timely execution of the monthly reporting process and budget process.
- This activity requires to get deep knowledge and understanding of the needs and requirements from management and of the existing reporting capabilities (systems, tools, processes)
- Optimize a process to produce the various reports (monthly, budget…) with high level of quality
- Execute & coordinate the process. Notably obtain from peers or extract from systems the relevant data & aggregate them to produce APAC reporting.
- Carry out quality & consistency checks
Once the basic reporting process is under control, the scope of duties will expand to direct involvement in limited scope projects dealing with the following matters:
- Manage projects involving ERP/IT Tools to allow more efficient/homogeneous workflows
- Margin analysis, costs analysis and forecast work
- Monitoring the cash flow, working capital

Key skills & attitude
- Controlling/Reporting/FP&A background with 3-5 years experience preferably in Corporate / Regional HQ of an Industrial group
- Advanced Excel skills and interest for system-based solutions (through ERP, or other IT-tools). Proficiency with Smart view/Essbase or similar tools is required
- Process-minded, structured and able to self-organize priorities and tasks
- Strong analytical skills demonstrated in past experience
- Willingness to learn and to grow
- International openness and exposure is required, as well as ability/willingness to travel if needed to India, China, and any ASEAN country in the scope.
- English is a must. French would be highly appreciated and should ease communication with HQ. Mandarin is a plus.
