We're an early-stage edtech startup building foundational business education programs for UMKM owners in Indonesia through AI powered assistance. We recently launched our first courses and are actively learning from real user feedback as we shape the product.
About the Role
This is a part-time role focused on building the data foundation that powers how we understand our users, product, and business. You'll own our analytics pipelines end-to-end, modeling raw data into clean, well-documented datasets that the team can actually use, and building the dashboards leadership relies on for decisions.
You'll also build text classification pipelines and models that help us make sense of qualitative user data. This is an important part of the role, though not the majority of it.
This is a part-time position.
How You'll Work
You'll collaborate closely with our PM, engineers, and other stakeholders depending on the project. This is a hybrid role based in Mega Kuningan (1-2 days/week in office, otherwise remote).
Our Stack
Postgres for our product and analytics database, Python for ingestion scripts and analysis, dbt for data pipelines, and Lightdash for BI. We use AI tools extensively across our workflow.

Must Haves:
- Ownership mindset and dedication to producing analysis and infrastructure that people actually use and trust
- Strong SQL and Python
- Experience building analytics pipelines and modeling raw data into clean, well-documented datasets
- Experience with dbt or a comparable analytics engineering framework
- Ability to translate ambiguous product and business questions into clear analyses and communicate findings
- Familiarity with building text classification models (classical ML, LLM-based, or both)
- Strong working proficiency in English
Should Haves:
- 2-4 years of experience in an analytics engineer, data engineer, or similar role
- Native Indonesian language proficiency
- Experience shipping text classification projects end-to-end (data prep, modeling, evaluation)
- Experience building dashboards in Lightdash or a comparable BI tool (Metabase, Looker, etc.)
- Judgment about when to invest in infrastructure vs. ship a quick answer
- Comfort working with messy real-world data and communicating caveats clearly
- Familiarity with modern warehouse patterns (staging/marts, testing, documentation)
- Some experience with react and lightweight software development flows
Nice-to-Haves:
- Previous startup experience
- Experience instrumenting product analytics (event schemas, tracking plans)
- Experience with LLM-based classification and evaluation workflows
- Experience on cloud data platforms (BigQuery, Snowflake, or similar)
