Job Summary
The AI Video Editor is responsible for producing high-quality video content using AI video generation tools combined with strong video editing fundamentals. This role focuses on creating engaging short-form and long-form videos for social media and digital platforms, including cinematic, advertising, UGC, and educational content.
The ideal candidate is familiar with AI video tools, understands video prompting and iteration workflows, and is able to transform creative briefs into polished, platform-ready video outputs while maintaining consistency in style, pacing, and brand identity.
Key Responsibilities
- Create video content using AI video tools such as Kling, Veo, Runway, or Pika.
- Develop and refine AI video prompts, including iterative improvements to achieve optimal results.
- Edit video footage with strong attention to pacing, continuity, transitions, and visual flow.
- Produce videos optimized for multiple platforms: (Vertical format (9:16) for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and Shorts)
- Ensure subtitle placement follows safe-area guidelines for each platform.
- Perform basic motion graphics and captioning for social media content.
- Apply basic color correction and light grading when required.
- Handle basic audio editing including volume leveling and light noise reduction.
- Manage file organization, naming conventions, and export settings properly.
- Collaborate with the team to interpret briefs accurately and deliver revisions (2–3 rounds).
- Deliver final outputs according to required formats (MP4 / H.264, resolution, frame rate).
- Meet content production targets (e.g., daily output or weekly quotas as defined by the team).
Job Specification (Qualifications & Requirements)
Mandatory Requirements
- Experience creating AI-generated videos using at least 1–2 AI video tools (Kling, Veo, Runway, Pika, or similar).
- Strong understanding of AI video prompting and iterative improvement processes.
- Solid video editing fundamentals: cutting, pacing, continuity, clean transitions.
- Ability to produce videos for both vertical and horizontal formats.
- Must have a video portfolio, including examples of AI-generated video content.
Editing Tools
- CapCut (accepted) for fast editing, subtitles, templates, and social media formatting.
- Adobe Premiere Pro (preferred) for professional editing workflows and project management.
- Adobe After Effects (basic) for simple motion text, masking, and compositing.
- DaVinci Resolve (color correction / grading)
Basic Photoshop for asset cleanup, cropping, retouching, or simple background extension
