About the Role
We are looking for an AI Engineer (Assistant Manager level) to support the company's digital transformation by identifying opportunities to automate business and manufacturing processes using Artificial Intelligence (AI).
This role will work closely with Production, Engineering, Operations, and IT teams to develop AI-based solutions that improve productivity, efficiency, quality, and decision-making. The successful candidate will also lead a small team of developers and manage AI implementation projects from planning through deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing and business processes using AI and automation.
- Analyze operational challenges and recommend suitable AI solutions.
- Lead the design, development, testing, and implementation of AI applications.
- Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and IT teams to understand business requirements.
- Lead and mentor a team of developers throughout project delivery.
- Coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders during AI implementation projects.
- Monitor system performance and continuously improve AI solutions.
- Keep up to date with new AI technologies and propose innovative ideas to support business growth.
- Prepare project documentation and provide regular progress updates to management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in AI, Machine Learning, or Automation Engineering.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience leading a development team or technical projects.
- Experience implementing AI or automation solutions in manufacturing or other industrial environments is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Technical Skills
- Proficient in Python.
- Good understanding of Machine Learning and AI concepts.
- Experience working with AI frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.
- Familiar with SQL and working with databases.
- Experience integrating applications through APIs.
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) is a plus.
- Knowledge of ERP, MES, or manufacturing systems is an advantage.
- Familiarity with Generative AI or Large Language Models (LLMs) is a plus.
