In this role, you will be responsible for managing, monitoring, and maintaining operating systems across the organization's IT infrastructure. Your expertise will ensure the seamless functioning, security, and optimization of all operating system environments.
Key Responsibilities:
System Maintenance:
Install, configure, and update operating systems.
Ensure system compatibility with hardware and software applications.
Monitoring and Troubleshooting:
Monitor system performance and resolve technical issues.
Perform regular system health checks and backups.
Security Management:
Implement and maintain system security measures.
Address vulnerabilities and manage security patches.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations and changes.
Generate periodic performance and security reports.
Collaboration:
Work with IT teams to plan and execute system upgrades and new implementations.
Provide technical support and training to users as needed.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience in operating system administration.
Strong knowledge of Windows, Linux, or Unix operating systems.
Familiarity with system monitoring tools and automation software.
Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with virtualization technologies like VMware or Hyper-V.
Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
Certifications like Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate are a plus.
