About the role
We're looking for an Accounting Staff member to record transactions accurately, reconcile accounts, and prepare the schedules behind the monthly reports. You will work closely with Finance, and support the Accounting Manager in the monthly close, tax and stock taking.
What you will do
Recording and reconciliation
- Create and post journal entries, mapping every transaction to the correct account and verifying it against source documents
- Record revenue, receivables and payables, and match customer payments to invoices
- Match PO, BAST and supplier invoices before recording payables, and calculate input VAT and withholding tax
- Reconcile bank, AR, AP, inventory and fixed assets to the general ledger, and prepare the trial balance
Period-end, stock taking and reporting
- Post monthly accruals, depreciation and amortization, and register fixed and intangible assets
- Take part in the monthly stock taking of goods for sale, backup units, demo units and spare parts, and record stock movements
- Prepare ageing schedules, margin tables and tax reports for the manager's review
Must have
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 1 to 3 years in accounting
- Experience with an accounting system, and Excel (pivot tables, lookups)
- Understanding of Indonesian VAT, withholding tax and depreciation basics
- Attention to detail and discipline with supporting documents
- Working English
- Ability to use AI tools well: writing good prompts to speed up work, and judging the output critically
Nice to have
- Experience with inventory costing or stock taking
- Experience in a multi-branch company
- Brevet A or B
