We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounting Staff member to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with the daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial records, and supporting the preparation of financial statements and reports. The ideal candidate should have strong organizational skills and a good understanding of accounting principles.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions in a timely and accurate manner.
• Reconcile bank statements, ledgers, and financial discrepancies to ensure accuracy.
• Prepare and maintain journals, ledgers, and other financial documents.
• Monitor and process payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Assist with the preparation of tax returns, ensuring timely submission of reports and filings.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and account reconciliation.
• Handle financial documentation, ensuring all records are filed properly and are easily accessible.
• Collaborate with external auditors and assist with audits as needed.
• Provide general support to the accounting department and assist in ad-hoc tasks as necessary.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience (1-3 years) in accounting or a related position.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, Accurate, Odoo, Quickbooks or similar platforms).
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas).
• High attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Knowledge of tax regulations and experience with tax filings is a plus.
