Job Summary
Lead safety management by developing policies, conducting inspections, and driving workplace accident investigations to ensure regulatory compliance and promote a safe construction environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and legislation
- Conduct regular safety inspections of workplace and equipment to identify hazards and enforce safety standards
- Lead investigations into workplace accidents and recommend effective preventive measures to mitigate risks
- Organize and deliver safety awareness programs, training sessions, and toolbox meetings for on-site staff to enhance safety culture
- Participate actively in safety committees and safety-related meetings to contribute to continuous safety improvements
- Manage safety documentation, data recording, administrative tasks, and communications to maintain accurate safety records
Required competencies and certifications
- MOM Registered WSH Officer (as mandated for safety oversight)
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the Construction Industry with specific experience in confined space works
- Ability to work night shifts
- Demonstrated leadership and effective communication skills with a positive attitude
- Possession of own vehicle for work-related travel
