Job description for tiler at IDEAL DESIGN CONTRACTORS PTE. LTD.
- Apply a layer of material (e.g: cement) to the floor or other surfaces.
- Check that surface of substrate using a 2-m straight edge to ensure that it is level and true to design specifications.
- Fill joints and gaps with cement or plaster to ensure complete coverage of the surface.
- Lay tiles and timber according to the standard code of practice.
- Mix bedding materials according to manufacturer’s instruction.
- Perform task in accordance to organisational safety procedures.
- Prepare surface in accordance to industrial practices and manufacturer’s recommendation to ensure adhesion of the material.
- Set out tile lines according to the approved tiling setting out drawings and design specifications.
