Job description for Specialist, IT Infrastructure at Best World International
Job Responsibilities
1. Infrastructure Operations & Maintenance
Maintain, configure, and optimize local and regional company networks, servers, and cloud environments
Responsible for the daily administration of IT hardware, infrastructure, and core systems within the company
Execute installations, upgrades, and configurations of hardware, software, and network equipment
Assess system performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement technical improvements
Act as the Level 2 escalation point to provide advanced support and guidance to stakeholders via the helpdesk within acceptable SLAs
2. Project & Vendor Support
Assist the IT Infrastructure Manager in executing project activities and ensuring technical deliverables are met
Liaise with external vendors for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and deployment of IT Infrastructure related systems
Assist in the drafting and updating of IT standard operating procedures (SOPs) and technical documentation
3. Security & Compliance
Work closely with the Cyber Security Team to implement and maintain secure network architectures and systems
Execute and monitor Patch Management schedules on endpoints, servers, and network devices
Ensure infrastructure configurations align with industrial best practices and company security policies
Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent
Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in IT Infrastructure, Systems Administration, or Network Engineering
Excellent problem-solving skills and strong technical capabilities in troubleshooting complex Level 2 issues
Keen eye for detail with the ability to handle multiple technical tasks simultaneously
Strong knowledge in End User computing, Network routing/switching, and Server Technologies (e.g., Windows Server, Active Directory, Virtualization, Cloud platforms)
Basic Knowledge of ISO27001, NIST frameworks, and PCI-DSS v4.0 would be advantageous
Positive working attitude with good communication and written skills to effectively support end-users and collaborate with teams
Professional Industry Certifications (e.g., CCNA,MCSA/MCSE, ITIL, AWS/Azure certifications) will be a strong plus
