Job description for Snr / Assistant Manager, Campus Development & Service Planning (2-year contract) at Changi General Hospital
You will be involved in managing the optimization of infrastructure capacity within CGH as well as driving initiatives or re-defining processes that will enhance the existing and future patient journey and care delivery for patients at CGH Campus.
Your role in project planning will support supervisor in running workflow improvement projects, not limited to workflow digitalisation, to optimise hospital operational processes and space utilisation. You will collaborate and coordinate with relevant stakeholders on new initiatives and optimising cross-department flows (e.g. of patients, staff and logistics) at hospital and cluster level.
Responsibilities:
Develop good understanding of department / services’ operations and work with stakeholders to streamline and re-engineer current workflows for the future patient journey, through the use of suitable methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma
Support supervisor in relevant projections and simulations with reference to actualized workload and sound assumptions / parameters
Support supervisor in the management of facilities inventory
Explore possible innovation solutions to improve workflow, not limited to digital solutions
Collaborate with the enabler departments to translate the proposed to-be workflows into tangible requirements
Provide project updates and timely escalate when user requirements are in conflict with the respective project objectives and resources, as well organisational goals
Organise and facilitate workflow discussions with hospital stakeholders to establish future patient journey
Lead discussions to ensure that proposed workflows meet user requirements, and aligned with CGH and SingHealth strategic goals
Lead the end-to-end rollout of interventions, including managing communications plan, coordinating with stakeholders, and analysing feedback to optimise outcome
Liaison with MOH and any other relevant stakeholders to achieve required objectives
Provide administrative support for the department, as well as secretariat support to the relevant Committees
Any other duties assigned from time to time
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in any relevant discipline, preferably in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research or related fields
Minimum 2 years of working experience, preferably in healthcare or social service-related industry
Good presentation and writing skills
Knowledge of process re-engineering, data analytics, simulation modelling and project management will be an advantage
Experience in public policy planning, infrastructure planning, healthcare planning or healthcare operations will be an advantage
Independent and possess initiative to drive tasks and projects assigned to timely completion
