Job description for Simulator Technician I at Singapore CAE Flight Training

About the role

Simulator Technician I role based in Singapore, reporting to the Group Leader, Technical Service within the Technical Department. The role involves learning and performing preventive maintenance tasks on simulators and associated simulator systems, assisting in diagnosing and correcting problems, and supporting the overall technical operations of training devices.

Key responsibilities

Learn and perform Preventive Maintenance tasks on the simulators and associated simulator systems.

Assist in diagnosing and correcting problems on the simulators and associated simulator systems.

Utilize Maintenance Management System to record and track maintenance activities.

Utilization of Technical Publications for fault finding.

Installation of Navigation databases.

Undertake of LRU replacements.

Complete all designated training activities.

Perform device host and visual start-up/shut-down procedures

Perform daily readiness checks on designated simulators.

Perform other preventive maintenance tasks if required

Perform basic visual system alignments.

Run automatic Qualification Test Guides

Assist with refurbishment and hardware modifications of the training devices.

Learn and comply with CAE Compliance Monitoring Systems.

Provide customer service support and communicate customer support issues in a timely manner.

Perform housekeeping functions to maintain the simulators and other training devices as required.

Any other duties as may be required.

About You

Aviation Industry - Aircraft Maintenance / Manufacturing experience

Technical knowledge and ability in electronics, hydraulics, pneumatics, IT networks, computers and Microsoft Office applications

Workshop practices including health and safety requirements

Experience working in a team environment

Good written and verbal communication skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office

Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing situations

Knowledge of aviation regulations and industry standards

Familiarity with avionics systems and aircraft mechanics

Strong problem solving and analytical abilities
