Job Summary
Manage pre- and post-tender activities, contract administration, procurement, and project budgeting for commercial construction projects. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cost control, contractual compliance, and timely project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Manage pre- and post-tender activities by performing quantity take-offs, preparing cost estimates, and submitting tenders to secure project contracts
- Prepare and review contracts, variation orders, progress claims, and final accounts to ensure accurate and compliant documentation
- Source, negotiate, and procure materials, equipment, and subcontractor services to meet project requirements and budgets
- Monitor and control project budgets by implementing cost-saving and value engineering measures to optimize financial performance
- Conduct site surveys and participate in measurements and valuations with clients and subcontractors to verify work progress and costs
- Coordinate with sales, design, and project teams to resolve contractual and mechanical/electrical (M&E) matters efficiently
- Analyze tender returns to assess cost competitiveness and ensure contractual compliance for informed decision-making
- Support project teams by preparing technical proposals, tracking progress, and resolving contractual issues to maintain project timelines
Required competencies and certifications
- Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in commercial construction projects
- Proficient in quantity take-off tools and interpreting technical drawings
- Familiarity with contract administration, project budgeting, and cost control practices
- Strong numerical and financial analysis skills with high attention to detail
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate within teams
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision
