Job description for Senior / Occupational Therapist (Full-time) at Allium Healthcare (Singapore) Pte. Ltd.
Occupational Therapist (OT) collaborates with other healthcare professionals to provide safe, evidence-based occupational therapy services under supervision, supporting clients in achieving independence and improved participation in daily living.
1. SCOPE AND RANGE
Clinical Duties
Provide quality and professional Occupational Therapy services in assigned caseloads for inpatient, outpatient and home cases.
Provide coverage of service to assigned ward(s).
Implement and document the following:
- initial assessment
- reassessments every 6 monthly for maintenance and 3 monthly for active rehabilitation
- Individualised rehabilitation goals
- weekly review rehab plan
- treatment updates
- discharge planning
Responsible for follow-up of patients under supervision
Sit in case conferences, team meetings and family meetings under supervision
Comply to clinical guideline
Carry out proper hand over for leave coverage
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support holistic care.
Carry out proper and sufficient safety measures to protect our patient during rehab.
Communicate to patient / family member to enhance rehab care, skill application and promote therapeutic carry over after rehab session
Responsible for the safe use of all equipment and report all equipment defects, accidents and complaints to the appropriate authority for further resolution if required.
Engage clients / families / carers in the treatment, review and rehabilitation of clients.
Provide caregiver training to family members or carers safely and professionally when required.
Use evidence-based standardised assessment and treatments to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions under supervision.
Administrative Duties
Responsible for daily billing.
Organize caseload coverage and work distribution.
Maintain a neat and tidy workplace

Maintain accurate and up-to-date assessment records and client’s treatment plan are maintained in the infocare systems in accordance with the organization policies. Inclusive of Initial assessment, re-assessment, memo and incident report.
Comply with Nursing Home Standards Guidelines.
Participate in continuing professional development and keep up to date with current practice, new techniques and technologies available for treating clients.
Participate in the in-service training, lectures and education programmes to staff, other disciplines, students and general public.
Participate in health promotion and health education initiatives within the community.
Maintain clients’ confidentiality as prescribed by the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and the organization’s policies and protocols.
Assist in collecting/maintaining statistical information needed for regular reports

Participate in departmental in-service training.
Involve in in-service education for other professionals and students.

Monitor, evaluate and review Occupational Therapy treatment and interventions within the multi-disciplinary framework and modify as necessary.
Qualification
Master/Bachelor/Diploma in Occupational Therapy, recognized by the Singapore Allied Health Professional Council (AHPC).
Registered with AHPC and holding valid practicing certificate from AHPC.
BCLS and AED Certificate
Relevant Post Graduate qualification is desirable
