Job description for Senior Manager/Manager, Planning [PDD] at Workforce Singapore (WSG)

As a Senior Manager/Manager in Planning and Design Division (Planning), you will be part of a dynamic team that provides central oversight and coordination of CCG work.

Your role includes but is not limited to the following areas:

·       Undertake strategic reviews of career facilitation policies/programmes/projects (including development of strategy and implementation plan, key performance indicators), prepare papers and deliver presentations on related matters to WSG senior management and stakeholders.

·       Identify inputs/ parameters from internal and external stakeholders for strategic/corporate plan development specific to CCG’s area of work.

·       Handle enquiries from and provide inputs to MOM and other Ministries/Agencies on policy issues, including Committee of Supply (COS) related matters.

·       Organise CCG’s annual work plan sessions and coordinate the dissemination of CCG’s work plans.

·       Serve as Secretariat for high-level Ministerial, Tripartite committees as necessary.

·       Oversee knowledge management for PDD-Planning.

Requirements
Knowledge & Skills

Possess:

·      Understanding of labourmarket information and outlook

·      Familiarity with WSG’s programmes and services

·      Strong analytical skills and conceptual abilities with the ability to translate broad concepts intodiscrete policies and key issues of relevance

Abilities/Aptitudes

·      Proactive – takes initiative to see through tasks assigned and escalate at appropriate juncture

·      Resourceful – able to obtain and synthesise information from various sources

·      Independent – able to work independently, yet collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders

·      Meticulous and Macro – has an eye for detail while having a good grasp of the overall positioning

·      Resilient – includes openness and adaptability to change

·      Communicative – Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·      Committed – to the ethos of the Public Service
