Job description for Sales Manager at Survival Systems International Offshore & Marine Pte Ltd

Survival Systems International (SSI) is an innovative lifeboat manufacturing company that provides offshore operators with the equipment, the instruction, and the knowledge to achieve a safe evacuation when an emergency occurs on an offshore installation. SSI has a global network of owned and operated service bases for the purpose of multi brand inspection, maintenance, and repair. In 50 years of continuous service to the industry our lifeboats have successfully evacuated over 2,200 offshore personnel in more than 60 emergency situations. For this reason, SSI has become the trusted partner to worldwide users spanning Offshore, Maritime and Cruise.


We are looking for a Sales Manager to join our team in Singapore. Reporting to the Head of Sales, the successful candidate will be responsible for revenue generation, and maintaining and expanding market share in the industry.


  Responsibilities

Understand the technical aspect and rules and regulations pertaining to LSA, Fire Fighting, Load Testing and Calibration

Handle incoming requests, prepare quotations, follow up to close the prospects and create order confirmations in accordance with sales process and latest work instructions

Use and maintain CRM data base, ZoomInfo and other marketing platform such as LinkedIn

Cooperate with service, technical, finance and logistic departments to ensure a good project plan/service planning and execution

Enhance all activities within the QA system, and current HSEQ regulations

Manage sales activities within defined areas at SSI Singapore or within SSI Group (cold calling, business development, customers visits)

Ensure customer relationship are maintained during the sales process

Secure engineering resources to support the sales process

Achieve sales targets in cooperation with Managing Director

Regular contact with Fleet Manager/Director, Superintendent, Technical Executive, Procurement team agents, shipyards, ship owners, consultants, prospective customers, etc.

Contribute to give priorities to the sales team in order to optimize sales work according to the company's marketing plan and strategy

Contribute with input in order to maintain and optimize product range in accordance with the market requirements

Enter into contracts to the best attainable conditions in the market

Participate in public relations activities in collaboration with the marketing director and marketing coordinator for the group

Contribute to exhibitions, fairs, demonstrations, etc.

Register orders in accordance with latest work instructions

During internal contract review, help to ensure that products are ordered as accurately as possible

Contribute to gather market intelligence to keep the company up to date on market position, prices, competitive conditions, etc.

Participate in the development of sales plan and sales budget in cooperation with Head Of Sales / Managing Director or any person appointed to be in charge of sales

Draft, enforce and advise on sales policies and processes

Contribute to gather market intelligence to keep the company up to date on market position, prices, competitive conditions, etc.


Personal qualities and skills

Minimum 3-year experience in sales, prior experience in marine, offshore &/or oil & gas industries will be an added advantage

Excellent sales and customer service skills

Ability to analyze consumer data to optimize sales efforts

Knowledge of industry trends and regulations

Ability to effectively communicate with clients and staff members

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

A team player with high level of dedication
