You will provide basic and advanced Respiratory Care services to patients with deficiencies and abnormalities of the cardio-respiratory system.

Responsibilities

Maintain a continuous improvement mindset to seek out opportunities for enhancements to quality, productivity and/or patient safety and care

Collaborate with intensivists and respiratory physicians to manage mechanically ventilated patients, facilitate weaning & liberation from mechanical ventilation

Initiate, titrate and wean patients off non-invasive ventilation

Formulate appropriate Respiratory Care plans and/or change in therapy based on patient assessment

Assist in critical care procedures such as Airway intubation, Bronchoscopy, Percutaneous Trancheostomy etc.

Perform diagnostic procedures such as arterial punctures, blood gas analysis

Facilitate trancheostomy tube change and stoma care, humidification and aerosol therapy

Respond to MET (Medical Emergency Team) calls

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or equivalent

Minimum 2 years experience in respiratory therapy in ICU preferred
