Job description for Rehabilitation Manager at Vanguard Healthcare
The Rehabilitation Manager provides leadership and effective management of the department to deliver the required level of rehabilitative healthcare services in accordance to the ENHS and the care model, to residents of the Care Home.
CRITICAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Oversee the multi-disciplinary team consisting of physiotherapists and occupational therapists.
• Responsible for the compliance of all therapist standards as stipulated by Ministry of Health and Allied Healthcare Professional Council
• Guide new staff; conducts orientation programmes; supervise and facilitate staff development.
• Plan and conduct in-house training, including the latest rehab therapy techniques and implement new techniques or procedures where appropriate.
• Plan and coordinate for the procurement of other therapy services to meet the rehabilitative service of the residents.
• Identify and implement new programmes for the residents and special projects to meet any service gaps.
• Analyse trends and changing needs of the residents in institutional settings. Plan rehab services and care based on changing trends.
• Operationalise and monitor the smooth transition of the residents from acute to chronic care and back to the community, where possible.
• Ensure service quality standard and cost-effective service are maintained and enhanced,
where necessary.
• Ensure quality audits are planned and conducted periodically.
• Develop and maintain close working relationships with other agencies and organisations.

Educational Requirements:
Degree in Physiotherapy/ Occupational Therapy/ Speech Therapy, preferably with post graduate qualification.

Good organisation ability
Ability to form networks and strong linkages with stakeholders.
Fully Registration with the Singapore Allied Health Professional Council
At least 6 to 8 years of experience, preferably with managerial experience in rehab services and centre
