About the Role
We are seeking a Regional Assistant Manager, Legal to support our growing operations across ASEAN. This role is ideal for legal professionals with a strong foundation in construction law and engineering-related contracts, who are keen to work closely with regional stakeholders and contribute to complex infrastructure and development projects.
You will play a key role in providing practical, business-focused legal advice, ensuring projects are delivered with sound contractual and risk management practices.
Key Responsibilities
Provide legal advisory support to regional affiliates on construction, engineering, and commercial contract matters
Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of agreements including construction contracts (e.g. EPC, consultancy, subcontracts)
Identify and assess legal and contractual risks in project execution and recommend mitigation strategies
Support contract negotiations with internal stakeholders, clients, and external partners
Advise on dispute management and resolution strategies, including coordination with external counsel where required
Develop and enhance contract management frameworks, templates, and internal policies
Conduct legal research on Singapore and ASEAN regulatory frameworks, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and industry practices
Partner closely with project, engineering, and commercial teams to provide practical, solution-oriented legal guidance
Support internal training initiatives to enhance contractual and legal awareness across the organization
Requirements
Degree in Law (LLB or equivalent) from a recognized institution
Minimum 5 years’ experience in legal practice, preferably within construction, engineering, or infrastructure sectors
Strong working knowledge of construction law, contract administration, and project risk management
Experience handling engineering-related contracts (EPC, FIDIC, consultancy agreements) will be highly advantageous
Excellent contract drafting, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, project-driven environment with regional exposure
Strong analytical thinking with attention to detail and a proactive mindset
Familiarity with Singapore legal and regulatory environment is preferred
Exposure to ASEAN markets will be an added advantage
