Job description for R&D System Architect (Semiconductor Equipment) at Search Staffing Services Pte. Ltd
Our client is a leading European MNC in designing and developing high-tech systems (assembly equipment, machine control systems, medical equipment etc). The Singapore team houses the Development centre and we are looking for the following position of:
System Architect
Lead system architecture and engineering development for high-precision semiconductor and analytical systems, with a strong focus on mechanical integration and system performance. Act as the key technical interface for Southeast Asia customers while coordinating with engineering teams in India and system architects in the Netherlands on complex machine and subsystem development.
Responsibilities:
• Define and drive system architecture for precision equipment and mechanical subsystems
• Translate customer and system requirements into structured technical specifications
• Lead technical discussions, design reviews, and cross-functional decision-making
• Ensure system performance, manufacturability, reliability, and integration across disciplines
• Coordinate project execution with global engineering teams and customers
• Support installation, commissioning, and technical issue resolution for regional projects
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline with 8+ years’ experience in semiconductor equipment, precision systems, or high-tech machinery
• Strong background in mechanical design with exposure to system-level architecture and integration
• Experience leading complex engineering projects and working with cross-functional/global teams
• Good understanding of GD&T, DFM/DFA, DFMEA, and precision mechanical systems
• Familiar with CAD tools such as SolidWorks or NX
• Strong communication skills and willingness to travel internationally
