Job Summary
Support the Contracts Director, Contracts Manager, and Quantity Surveying team to manage project cost budgets, monitor design changes, and oversee contract administration for timely and accurate project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Guide and support the Contracts Director, Contracts Manager, and Quantity Surveyor team to ensure effective project quantity surveying management
- Prepare and monitor project cost budgets and cash flow, tracking design and construction changes to adjust budget projections accurately
- Source and coordinate with site personnel, suppliers, subcontractors, consultants, and architects on all project-related matters
- Manage progress claims, variation orders, final accounts, and subcontractor progress claims to ensure accurate financial tracking
- Lead the analysis, evaluation, and negotiation of quotations with the project team to secure timely awards for subcontractors and suppliers
- Communicate with the technical team to verify that quotations comply with project specifications and construction methods
- Produce quantity measurements within targeted timelines to support project progress
- Prepare, call, analyze, and evaluate quotations for tender costing and negotiate subcontract awards
- Review and prepare agreements for awarding contracts to subcontractors and suppliers
- Certify and evaluate progress work, including contract administration for variations on subcontract and main contract works
- Assess and submit monthly progress claims and recommend subcontractor monthly payments
- Finalize final accounts for subcontract and main contracts
- Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned to support project and contract management
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Project & Facilities Management, Building, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or equivalent
- Proficient in MS Excel and AutoCAD with the ability to learn new specialist software
- Knowledgeable in both public and private Conditions of Contract used in Singapore
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills with a collaborative team approach
- Detail-oriented and methodical in work execution
- Self-motivated and able to work independently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
