Job description for QA/QC Manager at Hirose
Job Description:
Review the project quality plans and inspection test plans according to project specifications and quality requirements.
Monitor and report on operational procedures that affect quality performance and recommend improvements to the project quality system.
Liaise with suppliers/vendors on quality control issues.
Review welding procedure specification and welder qualification tests.
Prepares quality control procedures and repairs procedures for welding.
Review stage wise inspections like material/fit up/visual/bolt tightening/painting for fabrication and erection works.
Review and witness the non-destructive testing like ultrasonic testing and magnetic particle testing.
To ensure internal quality controls are in place and being maintained properly.
Work closely with other project personnel such as production and site management team in order to deliver high quality work together.
Responsible for the compliance with safety & occupational health practices to be implemented at the QAQC Section.
Proper QA/QC documentation for all materials delivered to the factory, including certificates, calibration, test results, inspection requests, non-compliance reports and site instructions/observations, permanent materials delivered and other QA/QC documents.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Any one of Welding Inspector (CWI, Certified by American Welding Society, AWS QC-1), or CSWIP 3.1 –TWI Certificate is required.
Familiar with local/international code and standard for welding procedures & specification.
Minimum 5 years of QA/QC inspection experience, preferably in the construction industry
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Ability to lead QAQC team and provide supervision to all QAQC staff.
Working Hours:
Mondays to Fridays - 0800hr to 1730hr
Alternate Saturday – 0830hr to 1130hr
