Job description for Project Engineer (New Role) at ASEAN Cableship Pte. Ltd.
Responsibilities:
Assist the Project Manager with planning, scheduling, scope, costs, quality assurance objectives and tracking project progress.
Prepare and maintain project documentation, including cable route maps, installation spread lists, deck layouts, lay/burial parameters, and as‑built records.
Support preparation of project execution plans, method statements, procedures, risk assessments, and contingency plans.
Coordinate technical inputs for route engineering, burial assessments, installation methodologies, and interface with survey, HDD, vessel and shore teams.
Assist in managing project interfaces with both internal and external stakeholders.
Participate actively in client, supplier, and subcontractor meetings, providing technical clarifications and updating on engineering and installation readiness.
Assist in mobilization planning for vessels and spreads, including equipment readiness, spares lists, and certification status.
Support management of subcontractors by reviewing method statements, scoping, costing and monitoring performance, and tracking deliverables.
Support the procurement process by developing technical specifications for tenders and evaluating vendor bids.
Contribute to project risk registers, identifying technical and quality issues; execution risks and propose mitigation measures.
Support lessons‑learned captured and project post implementation review.
Undertake any other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline (e.g. Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Marine or equivalent).
Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
Basic understanding of engineering principles and project execution will be an advantage.
Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proactive, self motivated, and willing to learn.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Excel, Word, Powerpoint).
Willingness to travel or work offshore/on-site when required.
