Job Title: Pastry Cook

Location: Canggu

Department: Kitchen / Pastry Section

Reports To: Head Chef / Executive Chef

Job Summary:

The Pastry Cook is responsible for preparing high-quality desserts, pastries, and baked goods in accordance with recipes and presentation standards. This role supports the daily pastry production and contributes to the overall dining experience by ensuring consistency, taste, and creativity.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare a wide variety of baked goods including cakes, tarts, cookies, and other desserts.

Assist in the development and testing of new recipes and seasonal pastry items.

Ensure all items are made to specification and meet quality standards.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry station and kitchen equipment.

Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages to the Pastry Chef.

Follow food safety and hygiene guidelines at all times.

Work closely with other kitchen team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.

Decorate and present pastries in an attractive and consistent manner.

Assist with special orders, events, or catering when needed.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a pastry cook or baker in a professional kitchen.

Good knowledge of pastry techniques, baking equipment, and tools.

Attention to detail, creativity, and strong time management skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure.

Understanding of food safety standards and kitchen sanitation practices.

Diploma or certificate in Culinary Arts or Pastry is a plus.

Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
