Job description for MTS, Equipment (Lithography) at Silicon Box
Position Summary
The MTS Equipment (Lithography) will provide technical leadership to startup of next generation of Fanout packaging equipment, optimize equipment capability, quality, and utilization through CIP to meet company's goals.
Responsibilities
- Have an in-depth understanding of how Photolithography Stepper, Coat, Develop & Dielectric Material Cure process equipment working principle and how critical parameters will impact Photo process.
- Provide technical and operational leadership to the lithography equipment team.
- Act as the primary point of contact for equipment related escalations and critical tool issues.
- Able to work together with process counterpart to resolve complex integration issues.
- Lead tool performance reviews, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions.
- Drive equipment readiness for production ramps, technology transfers, and mass production runs.
- Coordinate and prioritize team activities to meet manufacturing, uptime, and yield targets.
- Partner closely with process engineering, manufacturing, and vendors to resolve complex issues.
- Own and improve standard operating procedures (SOPs), maintenance plans, and best practices.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers and technicians, ensuring capability building within the team.
- Support hiring, training, and onboarding activities where required.
- Champion safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives. Manage and plan new equipment start-up to support production
- Liaise with vendors to resolve equipment issues and improve equipment performance
- Identify and assess any safety and product risks, recommends risk eliminations, and control risk through mitigations and safe work procedures.
- Lead continuous improvement projects to improve equipment efficiency and address issues
- Provide feedback, guidance and training to EEs and AEs
- Familiar and follow up on SPSR, MRB, 8D, TECN,ECN ISO9001/QS9000/TQM documentation for closure of issues / setup system.
- Familiar and update specifications to meet company Quality Standard requirements
- Familiar with SPC, DOE, FDC, ECMS and all the statistical analysis tools to help optimizing equipment robustness.
- Establish and maintain essential spare parts stock inventory
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering(Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Materials, or related field)
- Extensive experience in high-volume manufacturing environments (e.g., semiconductor, advanced packaging, electronics)
- Proven track record of owning equipment performance and driving measurable improvements (OEE, yield, CoO)
- Deep hands-on expertise in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and control systems, with ability to troubleshoot complex, multi-factor issues
- Strong experience with structured problem-solving methodologies (8D, DMAIC, RCA, FMEA)
- Familiarity with data-driven engineering tools (SPC, DOE, FDC, data analytics platforms, Jump)
- Experience working with equipment vendors and leading cross-functional technical initiatives
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects, influence stakeholders, and mentor teams
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-ownership manufacturing environment
- Exposure to SECS/GEM, PLC programming, or scripting (SQL, Python)
- Strong background in Lithography equipment Hands-on experience in equipment maintenance or troubleshooting.
- Self-driven leader and strong team player with keen technical ability, systematic approach, detailed-oriented, excellent problem-solving skills, and positive attitude.
- Prior experience in Advanced Packaging/LCD/foundry or similar industry background with ASML/NIKON/RUDOLPH/TEL/SUSS/ experience will be an added advantage
