Job description for Manufacturing Specialist III (Quality) at Seagate Technology

Seagate Technology Singapore Operations Quality & Analytics organization helps to protect and improve Seagate’s Total Customer Experience Develop, deploy, and sustain End-To-End Quality Analytics and Processes to provide trusted, actionable information enabling earlier detection and prevention of HDD and System issues. Drive In-Process Quality is a subgroup of OQ&A to protect HDD quality through in-process audits, Control and Monitor Material and Process parametric. 

  • Perform in‑process quality inspections by following standard procedures and work instructions.
  • Conduct Out‑of‑Box Audit (OBA) inspections to check product quality and workmanship.
  • Support QC activities during assigned shifts, including Backend Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) inspections and joining weekly production line Gemba walks.
  • Record inspection results accurately and report any defects or issues to QA Engineers or line leaders.
  • Support customer audits or visits by preparing inspection records and assisting as required.
  • Assist with additional quality‑related tasks assigned by Quality Engineers, such as trial checks or verification activities.
  • Follow safety rules, ESD requirements, and backend process discipline to ensure safe and smooth production operations.

Note: Please be highlighted that this is a Shift Operator role. 

  • Willing to learn new skills, technologies, and work methods, and able to apply them on the job.
  • Possess good communication skills and can work effectively with different teams.
  • Demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility and ownership of assigned tasks.
  • Able to work independently and follow instructions in a professional working environment.
  • Have basic problem‑solving and analytical skills to identify and report issues.
  • Capable of working under pressure while maintaining good teamwork and working relationships.
  • Computer skills (Microsoft Office)
  • English ability in reading, writing and conversation
  • Proactive, self-starter and team player with good analytical skills
