Job description for Manager, Central Inventory Management at ASMPT
We are seeking a talented and experienced Manager, Central Inventory Management to join our team. In this full-time role, you will lead and drive end-to-end inventory management across the supply chain network, ensuring an optimal balance between supply continuity, operational efficiency, and working capital.
You will act as the central integrator across Planning, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Finance, strengthening inventory governance, transparency, and control across the organisation.
Key responsibilities:
1. Inventory Planning & Control
Develop and maintain inventory projections aligned with supply and production plans
Manage inventory across Raw Materials (RM), Work-in-Progress (WIP), and Finished Goods (FG) to ensure balanced material flow
2. Inventory Performance Management
Track performance against key targets (DIO, E&O, Aging)
Identify gaps and drive timely corrective actions across functions
3. Cross-functional Execution & Financial Governance
Align with Factory, Procurement, and Finance on inventory actions and priorities
Ensure discipline in provisioning, valuation, and scrap governance
4. Excess & Obsolescence (E&O) Management
Identify and quantify excess, slow-moving, and at-risk inventory
Lead cross-functional actions to reduce exposure and prevent recurrence
5. Inventory Analytics & Continuous Improvement
Build inventory visibility through dashboards and actionable insights
Drive process improvements and digitalisation initiatives to optimise inventory performance
What we're looking for:
Minimum 5 years of experience in central inventory management or a supply chain role, preferably within the manufacturing or logistics industry
Strong understanding of inventory management principles, techniques, and best practices
Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, with strong people management and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical capabilities, with the ability to interpret data and drive informed decision-making
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate across cross-functional teams
Min. Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, or a related discipline
