Job description for M&E Coordinator at Golden Sands Construction & Engineering Pte. Ltd.
Job Responsibilities
Coordinate and supervise all Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) works on site, including ACMV, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and sanitary systems.
Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, and project teams to ensure M&E works are carried out according to approved drawings and specifications.
Review M&E shop drawings, method statements, and material submissions before submission to consultants.
Monitor site progress and ensure M&E works are completed on schedule and within project requirements.
Coordinate M&E works with architectural and structural works to avoid clashes and delays.
Attend coordination meetings, site meetings, and technical discussions with consultants and subcontractors.
Ensure compliance with Singapore authorities’ requirements, including BCA and relevant statutory regulations.
Monitor testing and commissioning of M&E systems and ensure proper documentation submission.
Identify and resolve technical issues on site related to M&E works.
Ensure safety standards and proper work procedures are followed on site.
Assist Project Manager in planning and coordinating M&E installation activities.
Prepare progress reports and maintain proper site records for M&E works.
Job Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 3–5 years of relevant M&E coordination experience in building construction projects in Singapore.
Good knowledge of M&E systems such as ACMV, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, and ELV systems.
Familiar with local authority requirements and submission procedures in Singapore.
Ability to read and interpret M&E drawings and technical specifications.
Strong coordination and communication skills with consultants and subcontractors.
Familiar with BIM coordination and clash detection (preferred).
Able to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced construction environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD (BIM knowledge is an advantage).
