About the role
The M&E Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and supervising all mechanical and electrical works on site to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with design specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.
Key responsibilities
Coordinate and oversee all Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) works at the project site
Review M&E drawings, specifications, and technical documents to ensure compliance with project requirements
Liaise with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and project teams to resolve technical issues
Monitor work progress and ensure M&E installations are carried out according to approved drawings and project schedules
Conduct site inspections and ensure quality control of M&E works
Coordinate M&E works with architectural and structural works to avoid clashes
Attend project meetings and provide updates on M&E progress and issues
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, statutory requirements, and company standards
Assist in testing and commissioning of M&E systems
Prepare progress reports, documentation, and as-built drawings where necessary
About you
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or a related field
Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in M&E coordination within construction or building projects
Strong knowledge of M&E systems, drawings, and installation processes
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Good coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills
Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
Experience in commercial or industrial building projects is an advantage
Knowledge of local building codes and regulations
Experience in project coordination and site supervision
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
