Interior Design Drafter
We are looking for a qualified person, experienced in commercial interior design including corporate office and retail design.
Role & Responsibilities
· To prepare AutoCAD drawings for commercial interior projects
· Prepare and produce technical drawings ie. floor plans, elevations, sections, and construction detail drawings
· Work closely with the design team to develop accurate technical documentation
· Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications and industry standards
· Revise and update drawings based on client/designer feedback or site modifications
· Prepare renderings and presentations to communicate design concepts effectively.
· Conduct periodic site visits to verify alignment of construction with design plans.
· Manage correspondence (emails, calls) related to drawing approvals and revisions.
· Ensure accuracy in translating client/designer requirements
· Assist in selecting materials, finishes, and furnishings to incorporate specifications into drawings and 3D visualizations.
· Attend training courses as needed to stay updated on regulations.
· This role involves translating design concepts into precise technical drawings, ensuring alignment with client expectations, building codes, and project timelines.
. Required to attend the site meeting if needed.
. Liase with the client to confirm and coordinate all renovation details.
· Any ad hoc duties as assigned
Requirement
· Proficient in AutoCAD software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar) and basic computer software
· Basic understanding of interior design principles and building regulations.
· Strong knowledge of construction and interior detailing
· Able to read and understand architectural and ID plans
· Good communication and time management skills
· Attention to detail and a strong sense of aesthetics
· At least 3 years of relevant experience
