Haier Singapore is one of the holding companies under Haier Group.  As the integrated regional centre, Haier Singapore is the main platform to provide trading, R&D, big data, cybersecurity, legal and sales supports to over 80 countries in Asia, Europe, Africa and North America markets.

As a practice of “the world is our R&D centre”, we are actively connecting Haier to the global innovation communities so that the brightest minds across all fields can see the areas that Haier is pursuing, and recommend solutions, contacts or resources to fulfil these needs.

We are currently looking for Innovation and Business Development Manager (R&D) to further support the growing needs from business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Based in Singapore, you will be part of the global resource sharing platform (HOPE Global) to identify opportunities in the R&D field, further drive the resources growth and strengthen R&D strategic relationships. The key responsibilities include:

Generate and develop innovation opportunities by identifying suitable technologies and translating them into practical adoption pathways for Haier products. Work closely with internal business units, R&D teams, and product stakeholders to demonstrate value, build use cases, and secure buy-in from internal customers for technology adoption and commercialization.

Build up the innovation ecosystem based on Haier’s need which might include but not limit to the following services: global technology scouting, technology decomposition analysis, expert consultation, joint development projects.

Proven ability to cultivate and maintain strong relationships and diverse partnerships with a wide range of global ecosystem stakeholders, including government agencies, universities, start-ups, venture capital firms, incubators, and industry associations.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

The ideal candidate we are looking for should be a seasoned R&D professional with:

A minimum bachelor’s degree in science or engineering is required for this role, with a PhD/Masters considered an added advantage;

Demonstrates a strong understanding of technology with a proactive and adaptable approach to exploring and staying updated on emerging technologies and evolving industry trends;

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in both English and Chinese (to liaise with Mandarin speaking stakeholders).

Strong communication skills to articulate goals, responsibilities, expectations, and feedback effectively across all levels.

Confidence, optimism, and the ability to work collaboratively in teams.
