A surf camp host primarily creates a vibrant atmosphere by greeting guests, organizing engaging activities and events like parties, workshops, and excursions, and ensuring a positive, social, and fun experience throughout their stay. Key responsibilities include managing guest check-ins, providing information and answering questions, facilitating social connections among guests, assisting with camp maintenance and tidiness, and serving as a point of contact for the camp manager. The role requires strong social skills, creativity, flexibility, a passion for hospitality, and a commitment to fostering a welcoming and memorable environment for all campers.

Guest Relations & Atmosphere

Welcome & Check-in:

Greet new arrivals, introduce them to the camp, and ensure they have a smooth start to their holiday.

Social Connection:

Actively engage with guests, facilitate introductions, and organize activities that encourage guests to mingle and form a community.

Atmosphere Creation:

Cultivate a positive, energetic, and friendly atmosphere, spreading "stoke" and good vibes throughout the camp.

Activities & Entertainment

Event Organization: Design and execute a diverse schedule of activities, including parties, trivia nights, karaoke, sports on the beach, and creative workshops.

Excursion Support: Assist with booking and guiding day trips to local towns and attractions.

Personalized Programming: Tailor the weekly activities to cater to the varied interests and demographics of the campers, from students to families.

Logistics & Camp Upkeep

Information Hub:

Serve as a point of reference for guests with questions about the camp and the surrounding area.

Camp Maintenance:

Help with the general upkeep of the camp facilities and common areas, ensuring they are clean and tidy.

Assistance with Camp Management:

Perform various administrative tasks and follow instructions from the camp manager as needed.
