Responsibilities of a Salon Assistant will include, but are not limited to:

Client Care & Hospitality:

Warmly greeting clients upon arrival and ensuring they feel comfortable and welcomed.

Preparing clients for their services (e.g., draping, leading them to their station).

Shampooing, conditioning, and rinsing clients' hair with care.

Offering refreshments and ensuring a pleasant salon experience.

Assisting with client check-in and check-out, and rebooking appointments.

Stylist Support:

Assisting stylists with various tasks, such as mixing hair color, preparing tools, and setting up workstations.

Maintaining a clean and organized workstation for stylists between clients.

Providing support during blow-drying and other finishing services as directed.

Gathering and restocking necessary supplies for stylists.

Salon Maintenance & Operations:

Maintaining the overall cleanliness and organization of the salon, including sweeping hair, sanitizing chairs and equipment, and cleaning shampoo bowls.

Washing, folding, and organizing towels and capes.

Assisting with inventory management, including stocking retail products and back-bar supplies.

Answering phone calls, managing appointment bookings, and responding to client inquiries.

Assisting with general administrative tasks as needed.

Requirements:

English / Chinese Proficiency: Excellent verbal communication skills in English and Chinese are essential to effectively communicate with our diverse clientele and team members.

Customer Service Skills: A genuine passion for providing exceptional customer service and creating a positive experience for every client.

Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively and proactively with stylists and other salon staff.

Eagerness to Learn: A strong desire to learn new techniques, product knowledge, and salon best practices.

Organizational Skills: Ability to multitask and maintain an organized workspace in a fast-paced environment.

Professional Attire: Maintain a neat and professional personal attire.

Flexibility: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and some evenings, as required by salon operations.
