Job Responsibilities
• Supervise, check, evaluate and prepare all soil data records, ensuring quality of field works with sound interpretation of ground conditions through ground investigation (GI) activities.
• Monitor site environmental conditions, health and safety standards, and housekeeping practices in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Conduct daily toolbox meetings and safety talks for site workers; maintain proper attendance records and ensure timely submission of safety documents, including daily toolbox meeting records and equipment maintenance logs.
• Perform risk analysis for all job activities and ensure Safe Work Procedures (SWPs) are understood and complied with prior to and during commencement of works.
• Prepare and submit all necessary safety plans, risk assessments, Safe Work Procedures, and supporting documents before work commencement.
• Obtain and ensure Permits to Work and any other required permits are properly signed by all relevant parties before work activities proceed.
• Coordinate and liaise on a daily basis with the Project Manager, Field Manager, Engineers, and/or Drillers to facilitate smooth site operations.
Requirements
• Degree or Diploma in Geology, Engineering Geology, Geophysics, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in Site Investigation (SI) works in Singapore preferred.
• Holds a minimum Building Construction Supervisor Safety (BCSS) Certificate or equivalent/higher safety certification.
• Holds a valid GeoSS (Geotechnical Society of Singapore) certificate or equivalent.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; a collaborative team player who can work effectively across disciplines.
• Able to work independently and adapt to site conditions with a proactive and responsible attitude.
