Job Description & Major Responsibilities
Application Engineers support the process and application aspects of SCREEN equipment at customer sites. Training will be provided to support relevant tool platforms and applications. The role involves supporting tool acceptance/qualification, analysing process and technical data, assisting with process troubleshooting, and preparing technical documentation and reports to support customer requirements and internal deliverables.
As an Application Engineer, this person supports the team in meeting both customer expectations and the company’s operational goals. This role is customer-facing and requires a strong technical mindset, good communication, and the ability to work effectively on-site to ensure customer satisfaction, especially during qualification, troubleshooting, and process-related support activities.
To attend weekly meeting and presentation.
To generate technical report.
To support on-site installations, troubleshooting, diagnoses, and overall tool performance improvement.
To serve as a liaison between customers and business units to ensure solutions meet requirements.
To execute process optimisation, yield enhancement, and productivity improvement projects.
To handle new tools’ acceptance qualification.
To handle recipes editing.
To perform ad-hoc shift work when needed when required.
Desired Qualifications / Requirements / Competencies:
Diploma or Degree in Electronics/Electrical /Microelectronics Engineering
Cleanroom working experience preferable but not a must
Machine setup/installation/modification/servicing/trouble shooting/repair
Willing to travel occasionally
Able to work irregular hours when required
Fresh graduates will be considered
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
Demonstrate ability to work effectively with team members and customers
Excellent troubleshooting and repair skills
Require good communication skills, documentation and customer service skills
