Job description for Energy Sales Trader at Stonex Financial
Job Summary
Support the Energy Trade Desk by managing Options/Swap/Futures pricing, trading, and risk. Collaborate with traders and risk consultants to deliver accurate market analysis, pricing, and risk reports under senior mentorship.
Responsibilities
- Reconcile and balance daily energy trading accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Run risk analysis reports on all energy portfolios to identify exposure and inform trading decisions
- Provide live price quotes and relevant market intelligence to internal StoneX Risk Management Consultants
- Monitor top day trades for accuracy throughout the trading day to maintain trade integrity
- Support Energy traders by assisting with pricing, trading activities, and risk management tasks
- Develop proficiency in all SXM systems to support OTC and cleared trading activities effectively
- Contribute to the development of market analysis and trade signal tools to enhance trading strategies
- Produce end-of-day risk analyses and profit and loss (PnL) reports for internal distribution
- Maintain prompt and regular attendance to support team operations and workflow continuity
Required competencies and certifications
- Hold a valid MAS license for Dealing in Capital Markets Products, including Exchange-Traded and OTC Derivatives Contracts
- SGX-DT Approved Trader and registered representative
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Strong organizational skills demonstrated by managing multiple projects in a demanding environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for clear documentation and collaboration
- Detail-oriented with excellent documentation skills to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel to analyze data and generate reports
- Working knowledge of ICE Options Analytics program
- Programming skills in Python, Java, or C++ to support tool development and automation
