Job description for Digital Media & Content Executive at Singapore Aquatics

Singapore Aquatics (SAQ) is the governing body for the aquatic sports of swimming, water polo, diving and artistic swimming in Singapore as a member of World Aquatics (AQUA). SAQ is charged with the development and education of aquatic athletes, officials, coaches and volunteers throughout Singapore and with the conduct of competitions and programmes for all levels of participation.

We invite applications for the post of:

DIGITAL MEDIA & CONTENT EXECUTIVE
A. PRIMARY JOB PURPOSE

Reports to the Assistant Director (Marketing, Partnerships& Communications) and Executive Director of SAQ.

The Digital Media & Content Executive will support Singapore Aquatics’ digital presence through the creation and management of engaging social media content across events, competitions, community programmes, and sponsor activations. The role will focus on content creation, video editing, graphic design, and ensuring consistent branding and storytelling across all platforms.

B. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Digital Media & Social Media Responsibilities

Manage and maintain Singapore Aquatics’ social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn and YouTube.

Plan and schedule content in line with the Association’s events calendar, campaigns and sponsor deliverables.

Create engaging social media content including event highlights, athlete features, behind-the-scenes moments, community outreach and sponsor activations.

Support live event coverage through real-time updates, stories, reels, photography and short-form video content.

Monitor engagement and social media trends to improve content reach and audience interaction.

2. Video Production & Editing Responsibilities

Produce and edit video content for competitions, campaigns, sponsor activations and promotional initiatives.

Develop short-form and long-form video content for social media platforms and digital campaigns.

Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure video storytelling aligns with Singapore Aquatics’ branding and objectives.

Assist with event photography and videography coverage when required.

3. Design & Branding Responsibilities

Support the development of marketing collaterals including event posters, digital graphics, key visuals, accreditation passes, banners and presentation materials.

Ensure visual consistency across all social media and marketing assets.

Work closely with the marketing and partnerships team to align designs with sponsor branding requirements and campaign objectives.

4. General Communications Support

Assist in updating the SAQ website with event information, results and announcements when required.

Support media and communications initiatives, including campaigns and digital outreach efforts.

Perform ad hoc duties when assigned.

C. REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS

Tertiary qualifications or relevant experience in Media, Communications, Marketing, Design or related fields.

Fresh Graduates are welcome to apply.

Proficiency in content creation and editing software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Illustrator), Canva and CapCut.

Familiarity with photography, videography and video editing for social media platforms.

Good understanding of social media platforms, trends and audience engagement.

Basic knowledge in graphic design and branding principles.

Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to work under tight timelines.

Able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

Comfortable working on weekends and public holidays when required for events and competitions.

D. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

Tertiary qualifications or relevant experience in Media, Communications, Marketing, Design or related fields.

Fresh Graduates are welcome to apply.
