The Financing Ecosystem & Tax Division at EnterpriseSG is both a policy and product house, responsible for developing the enterprise financing ecosystem to support of real economy growth and advocates for tax policy moves to strengthen our economic competitiveness.

[What the role is]

The Systems, Data and Insights, a team within the Financing Ecosystem & Tax Division, holds the dual responsibility to undertake economic analysis, research and generate insights to guide policy development, and implement agile and scalable application system infrastructure to support the delivery of programme initiatives to companies.

[What you will be working on]

This portfolio plays a key role in driving economic analysis, research and policy insights, as well as systems, data architecture and analytics:

Economic analysis, research and policy insights

Design and execute economic research and analysis to yield insights that strengthen Singapore companies’ access to financing to scale and grow and create good quality jobs.

Design and implement dashboard/models to monitor the effective functioning of financing ecosystem for Singapore companies (which includes analysing gaps in capital access, impact of capital flows on Singapore growth companies), and support real-time sensing and early warning capabilities to anticipate market trends/potential stress points that may impact enterprises access to capital.

Evaluate effectiveness of enterprise financing support schemes on companies’ growth and economic contribution, additionality of support schemes and propose evidence-based refinements to policy instruments.

Insights to guide the design of policy interventions based on evidence from our studies.

System, Data Architecture and Analytics

Partner with developer team to design and implement modular, scalable application architecture that support evolving programme needs.

Develop and institutionalise best practices in application design, testing and deployment to ensure quality, reliability and ease of maintenance.

Design and oversee data architecture that enable programme managers to conduct data analytics, dashboard visualisation and management reporting.

Establish framework to identify, prioritise and groom data and analytics use cases aligned with policy and scheme objectives.

[What we are looking for]

What You’ll Be Using and Applying

Experience in econometrics, finance, economics, statistics, or data analytics.

Ability to apply data science tools and visualisation platforms (e.g. R, Python, Tableau) in a work setting.

Strong leadership experience in economic research and policy development, with 8–12 years of relevant experience and track record to lead teams and drive outcomes.

Experience in the financing ecosystem for companies will be an advantage.
