Job Summary:
The Day Activity Centre (DAC) Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of the Centre, supporting staff development, managing budgets, and delivering high-quality programs for clients. This position requires a combination of leadership, administrative expertise, and a commitment to improving the quality of life for Centre's clients.
Job Responsibilities
Responsible in managing the day-to-day operations in the DAC.
Responsible for the care and welfare of the Clients in the DAC.
To communicate effectively with the Clients and their Caregivers.
To supervise a team of care staff in the delivery of safe care to Clients in the DAC.
To collaborate with the Allied Health Professionals, Training Officers in the delivery of activity programs, therapy care and behavioral support to Clients in the DAC.
To provide accurate reports of incidents to relevant authorities.
To ensure all documents are updated promptly and accurately.
To oversee the overall financial budget of the DAC.
In charge of inventory and proper disposal of DAC assets.
In charge of managing the transport service to Clients.
To assist in the mandatory audits of the DAC.
Skills and Qualifications
Proven people management and interpersonal and able to interact with clients and caregivers effectively.
Budgeting, administrative, and operational planning experience.
Ability to develop and implement programs that enhance client engagement and well-being.
3 to 5 years' relevant experience in leadership role.
Experience in the social service/healthcare/community care sector preferred.
Degree in Business, Commence, Healthcare or related field.
