Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cook Helper to assist in the preparation and cooking of authentic Chinese dishes. The ideal candidate should be familiar with Chinese cooking techniques and ingredients and be able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the chef in preparing ingredients (e.g., chopping vegetables, marinating meat, preparing sauces).

Help cook a variety of Chinese dishes including stir-fries, noodles, rice dishes, and soups.

Ensure the kitchen area, utensils, and equipment are clean and well-maintained.

Follow food safety and hygiene regulations at all times.

Assist in organizing and storing food supplies.

Perform basic cooking under the guidance of the chef (e.g., boiling, frying, steaming).

Manage prep work during busy hours efficiently.

Monitor stock levels and report shortages.

Requirements:

Prior experience in a kitchen, preferably in a Chinese restaurant.

Basic knowledge of Chinese cooking techniques and ingredients.

Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team.

Good communication skills.

Physically fit and able to stand for long periods.

Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and shifts.
