Job description for CAD DRAFTER at CHONG TAT E&C PTE. LTD.
Responsibilities
- Create detailed technical drawings, blueprints, or schematics for architectural, electrical, mechanical, solar photovoltaic systems, and structural elements based on specifications, sketches, or rough drafts.
- Collaborate with project engineers, architects, and designers to incorporate design changes and update drawings accurately.
- Verify measurements, dimensions, and specifications to ensure precision and compliance with standards and guidelines.
- Coordinate with architects, project engineers, and team members to ensure design specifications meet project requirements.
- Participate in meetings with contractors, architects, project engineers, and team members to contribute to the design process.
- Organize drawings and related documentation systematically for easy retrieval and reference.
- Adhere to industry standards and address necessary requirements in all drawings and designs.
- Engage in professional training to enhance skills and stay current with the latest tools and techniques in the field.
- Assist in updating Standard Operating Procedures, Safe Work Procedures, and other work-related procedures in line with industry, safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Support administrative tasks and other duties as required.
Required competencies and certifications
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or equivalent with at least 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in solar photovoltaic system design including mounting structure design and installation.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or other specialized software to translate concepts into detailed and concise drawings.
- Effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Willingness to work beyond normal working hours as required.
- Willingness to work within Ubi Crescent vicinity.
- Ability to commence work on short notice.
