Job description for Business Development Senior Executive/Assistant Manager at Cosco Shipping Lines
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Support & Negotiation
Prepare and negotiate quotations, service contracts, and tenders.
Provide guidance and support to Indoor Sales Executives on rate setting and customer handling.
Act as escalation point for complex customer enquiries and disputes.
Operational & Interdepartmental Coordination
Work closely with Documentation, Operations, and Equipment Control to ensure service quality.
Monitor customer booking patterns, shipment status, and container utilization.
Address service disruptions and coordinate solutions with internal teams.
Reporting & Market Analysis
Generate sales reports, customer performance analysis, and trade lane performance reviews.
Monitor competitor activities, freight trends, and global shipping market developments.
Provide input for sales planning, pricing strategy, and trade management.
Market Knowledge
Share best practices, market updates, and customer handling techniques.
Ability to know and use AI for marketing and data mining.
Compliance & Administration
Ensure all quotations, contracts, and agreements comply with company policies.
Maintain updated customer records in CRM and sales systems.
Support credit control by monitoring customer payment behaviour.
