Job Summary
Lead the Finance team to deliver accurate financial reporting, compliance, and strategic financial management supporting business growth and operational excellence at SBSC.
Responsibilities
- Direct the Finance team by setting clear strategic goals and providing ongoing guidance to enhance team performance and collaboration across departments
- Drive process improvements within the Finance team to increase efficiency and accuracy in financial operations
- Oversee statutory and management financial reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, treasury, fixed assets, inventories, accounts payable, and accounts receivable to maintain financial health
- Prepare, review, and analyze management reports and financial statements to inform senior management decisions
- Lead year-end statutory audits by coordinating audit preparation, documentation, and liaising with auditors
- Maintain and update internal controls and financial policies to ensure robust compliance and risk management
- Manage taxation matters including withholding tax, corporate income tax reviews, and responding to IRAS queries
- Conduct financial analyses to support senior management in strategic planning and decision-making
- Support annual budgeting processes and contribute to special projects such as system implementations
Required competencies and certifications
- Degree in Accountancy or ACCA/ISCA/CA qualification
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience including at least 1 year in a supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards and statutory reporting requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Experience in audit processes
- Exposure to the healthcare industry
- Basic knowledge or understanding of Power Query, Power Pivot, and Excel VBA Macros
