Job description for Assistant / Product Manager at BMEC Pte Ltd
Role Purpose
This role is responsible for managing and growing BMEC’s portfolio of sports science and rehabilitation solutions in Singapore and the region (e.g. Southeast Asia). The position combines product management, commercial execution, and market development, working closely with principals, customers, and internal teams to ensure portfolio relevance, sustainable growth, and successful adoption by end users.
Responsibilities
Portfolio & Product Management
Own and manage the assigned sports science and rehabilitation portfolio across Singapore and selected regional markets
Understand product positioning, applications, competitive landscape, and key differentiators
Assess new product opportunities from principals and partners, including commercial and strategic fit
Collect and consolidate market feedback (customers, clinicians, researchers, coaches) to guide portfolio decisions
Support product lifecycle management including launch, growth, and phase-out planning
Sales & Market Development
Achieve annual sales targets for the assigned portfolio
Work closely with sales teams and distributors to develop market penetration strategies
Identify key accounts, centres of excellence, and reference sites in the region
Support opportunity management from prospecting through to order closure (technical + commercial support)
Participate in pricing, quotations, and commercial proposals as required
Technical & Application Support
Conduct product demonstrations, evaluations, and trials
Support customers on product applications, workflows, and use cases to maximise value and outcomes
Act as a subject-matter resource for sports science and rehabilitation solutions internally and externally
Training, Marketing & Engagement
Plan and deliver product training for customers, distributors, and internal sales teams
Support marketing initiatives such as workshops, conferences, seminars, and scientific events
Collaborate with principals on regional training, certifications, and education programmes
Work with marketing teams on product collateral, presentations, and campaign content
Regional & Principal Interface
Liaise with overseas principals on product updates, roadmap planning, and regional performance
Coordinate regional activities including distributor support, forecasts, and pipeline reviews
Gather and report regional market intelligence and trends to management
Requirements
Education
Diploma or Degree in Sports Science, Biomedical Engineering, Engineering, Physiotherapy, Healthcare, or related disciplines
Experience & Skills
2–5 years of experience in product management, sales, application support, or clinical/technical roles (healthcare or sports science preferred)
Strong interest in sports performance, biomechanics, rehabilitation, or human movement science
Comfortable engaging clinicians, researchers, coaches, and technical users
Commercial awareness with the ability to link technical value to business outcomes
Good presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills

Able to handle customer objections and manage sales pressure
Open to regional travel as required
