Growing Capacity

Participate in learning needs assessment together with Senior Clinical Educator (SCE) and Nurse Educator (NE) in collaboration with human resource team

Assist in developing and implementing competency (core and specialty) assessment plan (annual and probationary) for existing and new nurses with Senior Clinical Educator (SCE) and Nurse Educator (NE)

Assist in developing and implementing clinical training and development programmes with Senior Clinical Educator (SCE) and Nurse Educator (NE)

Assist in reviewing competency checklists incorporating evidence-based clinical practices

Deepening Capabilities

Identify development activities and continuing education for staff

Support nursing students, if any, newly graduated/employed nurses through orientation, clinical supervision and continuing nursing education programmes

Coach and guide nurse clinical instructors and clinical preceptors in their roles

Provide support to ensure strict compliance with Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) guidelines

Cultivate Compassion

Incorporate service excellence standards and practices in training and development

Foster sound professional relationships with other members of the healthcare team

Role model the core elements of I-CARE

Demonstrate Ethics and Integrity

Educational Requirements:

SNB Registered Nurse Practicing Certificate

Certificate / Diploma in Nursing

Post-Basic Specialty Certificate / Advance Diploma in Nursing or Degree qualification

State other requirements/qualities such as personality traits, interests or skills required for the job:

Knowledge of current trends in nursing practice

Possess clinical competence and specialty experience

Experience as a preceptor/nurse clinician/nurse educator

Clinically competent and is computer literate.

Coaching and mentoring ability

Good interpersonal skills and has ability to lead/work on teams

Demonstrate desired leadership behaviours

At least 2 to 4 years’ experience as a Senior Staff Nurse or Clinical Instructor in healthcare setting
