Job Role:
The Assistant Marketing Manager is a strategic leadership position designed to bridge the gap between technical engineering and high-level market development. Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager, you are not only a technical expert but also a Market Strategist responsible for elevating the company’s presence within the Indonesian HVAC and industrial ventilation sectors.
In this capacity, you will own the relationship with top-tier Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Consultants, ensuring the company is the specified brand for large-scale infrastructure and industrial projects. You are expected to move beyond execution to lead market analysis, design competitive positioning strategies, and mentor the engineering team to ensure local initiatives are aligned with global sales objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Market Development: Lead the formulation and execution of targeted marketing strategies to increase market share in critical environments (Data Centers, Hospitals, Cleanrooms, etc.).
Consultant Relationship Management (Specification Owner): Act as the primary point of contact for top-tier M&E Consultants, influencing project specifications at the design stage by presenting high-efficiency engineered solutions.
Technical Leadership & Proposals: Oversee the preparation of complex technical proposals and persuasive presentations, ensuring the team communicates strong value propositions beyond pricing.
Competitive Intelligence: Monitor market trends and competitor activities (European and US brands) to generate strategic insights and adjust local tactics accordingly.
Cross-Border Coordination: Collaborate with the regional office in Singapore to align Indonesian market initiatives with Southeast Asia (SEA) regional objectives.
Mentorship & Team Oversight: Provide guidance to Marketing Engineers, review technical submissions, and support the closure of high-value negotiations.
Brand Representation: Act as a thought leader by representing the organization at industry exhibitions, forums, and executive-level customer engagements.
Candidate Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (Master’s or MBA is a plus).
5–7 years of experience in technical sales, marketing, or business development at a strategic/Assistant Manager level, preferably within HVAC, ventilation, or air filtration systems in a principal/manufacturer environment.
Strong network with M&E Consultants and key decision-makers in building services or industrial infrastructure.
Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into strategic business cases for senior stakeholders.
Deep product knowledge of industrial solutions and market landscape, particularly within premium international standards.
Professional fluency in English (spoken and written) for regional communication and reporting.
Strong leadership, negotiation skills, and a results-driven mindset.
